Erie has many places to see but but the Maritime Museum is by far one of the coolest places you will find along the shores of the Great Lake Erie.

The museum is centered around the Flagship Niagara but does have several other displays including a nice one on the war of 1812. When the Flagship is at home a tour of it comes with the price of your ticket so I strongly suggest checking their calendar to see if it will be in port so you can see this magnificent ship up close.

There are always volunteers around to talk with you about the displays and to take you on tour of the ship.
