Veteran's Memorial Park in downtown Long Prairie Minnesota is a visual treasure trove of veteran's memorials.

The park is located on a city block corner and features tributes and memorials to all veterans. The park's centerpiece attraction is a five story mural depicting the raising of the flag at Mr. Surabachi in Iwo Jima. The mural is topped by a steel sculpture of the flag raising.

But there is so much more, a Sherman tank, Huey Helicopter, Vietnam tribute, Korean War tribute and wall sized map of the conflict, unknown soldier memorial, Omaha beach cemetery mural and wall, Women and War memorial, Statue of Liberty and so much more. Plenty of benches to sit and ponder and take it all in.
