These signs are located at small viewpoint on the Yellowstone River along the Grand Loop Road about 5 miles north of Lake Junction.
The Water Wilderness sign discusses the valuable habitat the Yellowstone River provides for aquatic wildlife and mammals and birds that feed on the aquatic wildlife.
The Trout Migration sign discusses the annual migration of trout from Yellowstone Lake into the Yellowstone River in the spring and back to the lake in the fall.
There is a third smaller sign that discusses whirling disease and wild trout populations.
