Given that this sign was erected by Monroe County, it may have originally been red rather than blue... but now it's green.

"Seminary - 1845
Built for Celectia Bloss
Author, Teacher-Principal
of Clover Street Seminary.
It reopened in 1866 as
St. Mark's School for Boys.

County of Monroe 1959"

I could not readily identify the building to which this sign refers. The only other information of note about this location is that it is near the intersection of Elmwood and Clover. Across the street from this sign (and at the intersection) is the Alcoa Care Free Living home, placed on the National Register of Historic Places. That's what brought me to this location, and I almost didn't see the sign, being painted green and all.
