The Christ Episcopal Church is located at 510 Belknap Place, San Antonio, TX 78212. The santuary of this church is located facing Belknap, between W. Russell Place and W Craig Place. Facing the church's main entrance into the santuary, the coordinates will place you in front of the large wooden doorway into the church building. To the left of the door is the Texas historical marker of this waymark. To the right is a cornerstone dated 1913.
The church was formed in 1907 and worshiped elswhere until this present building could be built in 1913, as indicated by the cornerstone date. Additional buildings were added to the church campus in 1929.

 Marker Text: Episcopalians first worshiped in this Laurel Heights neighborhood in 1907, under the auspices of St. Mark’s Church downtown. Christ Episcopal Church was formed in 1911, with the Rev. John D. Ridout as its first rector. In 1913, ground was broken for this Gothic Revival sanctuary, designed by architect Atlee B. Ayres in the spirit of an English parish church. A parish hall and educational building was designed in 1929 by architect John M. Marriot.
