Dve mozaiky jsou soucástí výzdoby odbavovací haly hlavního nádraží v Ceských Budejovicích.

Obe mozaiky muže návštevník nádraží videt hned po vstupu do budovy. Nachází se v horní cásti sten pod kopulí haly.

První mozaika je umístená nad pokladnami. Zobrazuje stylizované výjevy Jižních Cech – rackové, volavky, lidová barokní architektura a ryby.

Druhá mozaika je umístená na protilehlé stene nad pruchodem k cekárne. Zobrazuje pametihodnosti Ceských Budejovic – Samsonovu kašnu, radnici, katedrálu svatého Mikuláše, Cernou vež, Piaristické námestí a další pametihodnosti starého mesta.

Budova nádraží byla dokoncena roku 1908 a zatím neprošla žádnou velkou rekonstrukcí. Její výzdoba se tak dochovala do dnešních dnu beze
zmen. Jedním z mála novejších dekorativních prvku tak jsou práve
mozaiky v odjezdové hale. Ty jsou dílem akademického malíre Václava
Boukala (* 18.6.1922 ve Vlachove Brezí) a vznikly pravdepodobne v první
polovine sedmdesátých let dvacátého století.

dík za doplnení informací o autorovi mozaiky patrí mpikovi.

Two mosaics are part of the decoration in the departure hall of the main station in Ceské Budejovice.

Visitors can see both of the mosaics immediately after entering the building. Mosaics are Located at the top of the wall under the cupola of the
hall.

The first mosaic is located above the ticket desks. This mosaic displays stylized scenes from South Bohemia - seagulls, herons, folk baroque architecture and
fish.

The second mosaic is located on the opposite wall over the passage to the waiting room. This piece of art displays sights of the city Ceské Budejovice - Samson Fountain, old Town Hall, the Cathedral of St. Nicholas, Black Tower, Piarist Square and other monuments of the old city.

The station building was completed in 1908 and has not undergone any major renovation. The decorations
was preserved to this day unchanged. The mosaics in the departure hall is one of the few newest decorations of the station. It is the work of the academic painter Vaclav Boukal (* June 18, 1922 in Vlachovo Brezí). He probably created it in the first half of the seventies of the twentieth century.
