The Carnegie Foundation granted the city of Brockville funds in 1902 to build this library and as such it was called the Carnegie Library for a long time (as in the post card). It's now called the Brockville Public Library and while inside is a lot different than what I'm sure it looked like before, the outside has maintained it's previous elegance. I took the picture from the same vantage point as the postcard to make the comparisons fair. Quite interesting in fact.
