There is a cenotaph in honour of Marcel Gamache who was an actor and a scenarist born in Monrtreal and who died in Ste-Dorothee.
On lui a donné le nom de Place Publique Parc Marcel-Gamache en mémoire de Marcel Gamache, un acteur et scénariste québécois, né à Montréal le 29 août 1913 et mort à Sainte-Dorothée (Laval) en mai 1995.
There is a large fountain and some benches close th the municipal librairy and the local catholic church.
Le coeur de la Place Publique est occupé par une fontaine et des bancs sont situés tout autour pour prendre le temps d'admirer l'église.

There is a fontain and benches around. There are still some trees under which you can find shadow to enjoy the place.
Il y a une fontaine au centre de la Place Publique ainsi que des bancs à l'ombre de grands arbres. On peut s'asseoir et admirer l'église de la Paroisse Ste-Dorothée ou lire un bon livre de la Bibliothèque Yves-Thériault qui est juste à côté.
