Obrí dul in the Krkonoše Mountains
This huge mountain valley near Pec pod Snežkou on the approaches to Mount Snežka is one of the most attractive in the Krkonoše range and boasts some rare flora. In the 16th century the Obrí Valley attracted herbalists who (particularly on Midsummer’s Eve) would gather miracle-working plants and flowers. This is a glacial valley, hence its U-shaped profile.
The all area of the mountain valley is situated in the Krkonoše (The Giant Mountains) National Park.
The hike leads from the tourist resort Pec pod Snežkou along the blue tourist route through the Obrí dul to the mountain Snežka - the highest mountain in the Krkonoše range and in the Czech Republic. The route is approximately 7 km long.
