Windmill 1, Sobral da Abelheira, Portugal - Windmills on Waymarking.com

There are two windmills in the Portuguese village of Sobral da Abelheira. This is one of them, the most notorious as it was beautifully restored. Besides, it's part of a small park for the leisure of the local community, which includes a playground for children.

As characteristic in the windmills of the region, this one is painted in white with blue frames around the door and windows. Apparently the machinery is still inside, as well as the sails structure, which is visible from the outside. It is not open to the public, but one can walk around and take a close look at the windmill. Some accessories are on display on the surrounding grounds.
