The oldest portion of this church complex was built in 1928 using sandstone, brick, and stone, with an asphalt roof, by Gordon & Kaelber in the Late Romanesque Revival style. (visit link)

Gordon & Kaelber also refaced the German United Evangelical Church Complex; and Edwin S. Gordon of the firm Gordon & Kaelber was responsible for the design and construction of the Chester Dewey School #14 nearby. Both of these other buildings are also listed on the NRHP.
