This is one entrance of more than a dozen to the American River Parkway and Trail of 26 miles from Folsom to Sacramento.
Competitive bicyclists use this trail in packs. Joggers may, but beware. It is approximately 3 miles between a) other entries b) facilities. Cel phones are a good idea here. There is a park ranger service under Co. Parks & Rec. Fees are charged for vehicles at the entrances, or use of an annual pass.
