The 2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup was the sixteenth edition of the FIFA U-20 World Cup (formerly called FIFA World Youth Championship), hosted by Canada from June 30 to July 22, 2007.
Frank Clair Stadium is a Canadian football stadium in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It is located in Lansdowne Park, on the southern edge of The Glebe neighbourhood, where Bank Street crosses the Rideau Canal. During the 2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup, it had a seating capacity of about 30,000 people. The stadium has hosted events ranging from the Grey Cup (Canadian Football), FIFA World Cup U-20 and concerts by bands such as the Rolling Stones.
Frank Clair Stadium is currently being renovated. The South side stands will be removed and replaced to increase seating capacity and safety.
The final match held on 22 July 2007 in Toronto, Ontario, saw Argentina win 2-1 against the Czech Republic. It was Argentina's sixth title. Agüero 62' and Zárate 86' had the Argentinian goals while Fenin 60' scored the lone Czech Republic goal.
