Not new at all - in fact the building is on the National Register of Historic Places - but the building was originally the Federal Building (before that function moved to State St) and the Old Post Office...

The original City Hall is in the City Hall Historic District, on the corner of Broad and S Fitzhugh Sts. It serves as law offices and other office space, and has been connected to the back of the Monroe County office buildings, which face Main St at S Fitzhugh.
The "new" City Hall is a red (brown) sandstone four story Richardsonian Romanesque style building, built between 1885 and 1889, and situated at the corner of Church and S Fitzhugh Sts.
