Large glacial erratic in the Canyon Area near Inspiration Point on the North Rim Drive.
The small sign at this location is labeled as “Glacial Boulder.” About 80,000 years ago, an early Pinedale Glacier dropped this granitic boulder from the Beartooth Mountains here (from NPS website).
