San Diego's El Cajon Boulevard once served as Route 80 and was one of the city's primary roads. It had (and still retains some) motels, diners, bars, drive-in restaurants, etc.
This box celebrates that history with images of a juke box, teenagers dancing to a vinyl record, palm trees, the nearby "The Boulevard" neon sign, and a couple in a car being served by a waitress on roller skates. The work is signed...but is difficult to read...perhaps "Binube"?
