A pilgrimage church in Quebec province on the St Lawrence River. Built over 350 yrs. ago. (north side of the river) and 35 km east of the city of Quebec.

This is a "basilica" extraordinary building. There is a full church onto the basement level.
It has pipe organ, copper doors. This area had the best craftsmen in both skills.
There was a convent on the hill above the cathedral.
more on Wiki. Mass is broadcast across the freeway to the pilgrims at the campground. (boondock style)(dry camp) close enough to the river to fall in.

The third church on this site. Last built in 1922 until 1944.
It has 240 stained class windows, including a spectacular rose window at the west entrance. The Basilica is Neo-Gothic and 315 ft long by 150 feet wide. The spire is 270 ft.
St Anne was the patron saint of Quebec. Visited by 1/2 million/year (mostly during non snow months). Some camp on the domain, within sight of the river.
There is an outdoor stations of the cross going up the hill to the north of the cathedral. There was a monastery for the sisters at the top. (not one in sight now).
