The sign is created from tiles which form an idyllic picture of life on the waves of Poole harbour. Three sailing boats appear in the foreground whilst the distant hills of the Purbecks can be glimpsed on the horizon.
Poole is a coastal town with a large, natural harbour where many tourists gather to enjoy the activities on offer. It houses a ferry port and is home to the RNLI Headquarters.
