Brownsea Island is where Lord Baden-Powell founded the Scout Movement. Here, these arrows point to all of the Scout Groups all over the world where the Scouts have come from to visit Brownsea.
Many Scouts have made these signs and they form an iconic piece of memorabilia as well as serving a function of direction. Some of the groups included are 1077 Monte Real Portugal, St Davids, Birmingham and 72nd Portsmouth Scout Pinnacle Explorers. Some include the date the Group visited.
