This Classical Revival style building was designed by Howell & Thomas constructed in 1927. The building was fashioned after the Pittsburgh Press building. (

The bas relief sculpture over the entrance of the Gannett building was created by noted Italian sculptor Edmond Amateis. The central figure in the frieze is Truth, guarding the eternal flame of enlightenment. The figures on the left are Fine Arts and Industry. On the right are Law and Agriculture. (
