This historical marker, just off I-70, near Palisade, Colorado, dedicates the Colorado River Highway to the Pioneers of Western Colorado.

Just off the I-70 exit, north of Palisade, this marker is situated in a grassy island, with a truckstop nearby. The marker is attached to a large monument constructed of conglomerate rocks, standing about 12 feet high. The marker reads:
