These, two green-bronze lions are menacingly perched atop two stone, rectangular pillars to which the iron gates are attached, guarding the entrance of the administration building. The SIRIS site describes these lions as two standing male lions with mouths opened as if roaring are installed one on either side of the Education/Administration Building gates. SOURCE

To find the lions, simply enter from the northern most point along the intersection of Girard Avenue and North 34th Street (running parallel to the Schuylkill Expressway (76)). Parking is available along the side of the zoo on North 34th Street, if you're lucky. If not park in the lot further down 34th Street located at approximately N 39° 58.395 W 75° 11.666. After paying, go through the entrance and stay to the left. The lions are exactly .26 miles, running parallel with 34th Street. Very easy to find.

Also known as the Townhouse Lions, they are approx. 2 ft. 6 in. x 3 ft. x 12 in.; Each base: approx. H. 9 ft. W. 1 ft. 6 in.
