Bob Waldfogle died at age of 69 on Saturday, August 4, 2001. He worked at North Hills high school for 35 years.
His son said this of his parents, published in a Pittsburgh newspaper: "They were the children of the Depression. The Depression had left its mark on them. They never forgot the struggle and the lack of the basic necessities. "Dad, who taught math for 35 years at North Hills High School, was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis three years prior to beginning his teaching career. He was determined to continue to work, and he retired in the late 1990s".
