This historic crossing, that for decades was crossed by ferry, celebrated the opening of this suspension bridge on August 28, 1960 here at Dunvegan, Alberta.

This 750 metre long bridge is Alberta's only vehicle suspension bridge. The bridge was constructed in 1960 to increase traffic through the area.
