Historical marker located on Park Avenue at Rockland Drive telling about the beginning of the residential area that came to be known as Bluff Park. The marker was placed by the Hoover Historical Society.
The area was added to the Alabama Register of Landmarks and Heritage in 1998.

Addtional Information::
51 structures, 70% residential, built early 20th century to post World War II period. The 1885 sale of Gardener Hale’s land began the housing development. The 33 acre 1924 Independent Presbyterian Church Children’s Fresh Air Farm, 1923 Bluff Park Elementary School were the most significant buildings. Alabama Register of Landmarks/Heritage 1998
