Although this windmill is not part of a museum, this is a historic site. The Lehigh Valley Railroad Station was established here in 1905, for both passenger and freight train traffic. (visit link)

I can only speculate that this windmill pumped water from the Genesee River or the nearby Erie Canal feeder to replenish water tanks in steam operated railroad engines.
