The Peppermill is undergoing renovation currently, probably under a new name, as the letters on the roof are gone. The restaurant was known for its firepit in the Fireside Lounge. It had large cushion booths and attractive waitresses too.

Zippy and Claude Funston enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner there on Nov 25, 1993. They reveled over the large pepper shakers and enjoyed pepper on their lime jell-o.

Note: After perusing many old Zippy strips online, I believe this to be one of the earliest places in the real world visited by Zippy.
