The Indianapolis Star building was built beginning in 1909 and completed in 1910. The building was constructed by the Bedford Stone & Construction Co. The building has a stone facade with terra cotta decorative features. After the newspaper moved to another headquarters the building was used as a jewelry store. The building is now used by the Capital Grill restaurant.
The Indianapolis New is a former evening newspaper. The newspaper at one time had the largest circulation in Indiana and the states oldest. The newspaper began December 7, 1869 and last published October 1, 1999.
