The origins of the Methodist Episcopal Church in Rochester are dated at 1820, according to the Asbury website (visit link) , however construction of this building at this site was not begun until 1953, and completed in 1955. The education wing (see phote captioned "Asbury front right") was built in 1961, and a new fellowship hall was completed in 2007 (see photo captioned "Asbury rear").
