Woodhouse United Church was built in 1860. The church was formally a Welayan Methodist church but became United Church of Canada when the Methodist Church joined with other churches in the 1920s. The church has a sizeable cemetery with many graves dating back to the 1800s and has a sign noting it as a United Empire Loyalist Burial Ground.
In recent years the church formed a pastorial charge with Grace United Church located in Port Dover. The current reverends are Murray Rounding and Frank Walker.
