Bok Tower Gardens, a “must see Florida attraction” centrally located between Tampa and Orlando, is open every day of the year from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
You will often hear it said that Bok Tower stands on the Highest Land in Florida, It Does not, It stands on the Highest point in the Gardens South of Exedra & the reflection Pool.
The tower is built upon Iron Mountain, ONE of the highest points of peninsular Florida, estimated to be 295 feet (90 m)
Exedra, viewpont & resting place, is measured at 298 Feet by a geodesic marker and records this as the highest point measured in peninsular Florida, 298 feet above sea level (a previous estimate of 324 feet comes from the Plaque fitted on the Monument. (taken from an earlier incorrect survey)
