This mural is on the side of the old Konnongorring School Building, which now serves as the Goomalling Museum. The school was in operation from 1925 to 1974. After cloing it was relocated to Goomalling 28 Km to the south, and opened as the museum on June 4th 1976.
The mural was designed and painted to give some insight into school days during the time of one teacher schools so common in country areas. The windows to the right are real, the ones to the left are part of the mural, very cleverly painted by the artist Roy Smith in 2008.
