Some important historical events took place during the French-Indian war of the 18th century.
This museum displays artifacts of that period, and relevant pieces of industry and lifestyle of the 19th century, mostly centered on the industry of glass making.
The museum opened on October 31, 1971, in a building that was built in 1842. The Federal Style building holds historical materials from across Armstrong County.
