Reference 1881 census – Michael Meagher and his family were living in Ward 2, Second Division, Halifax, NS. Also listed are Mary his wife, age 38 and son, James age 8. Both were born in Nova Scotia and of Irish descent. Michael Gibson age 21 is listed as a member of the household. Unable to determine why the ages listed in the census are inconsistent with those on the headstone.
