The old trail that officially doesn't exist. But it is there, and ready to be explored by those that know how to safely plan a route in some awesome backcountry. The distance of this hike is greater than 5 miles with about 5 hours on the trail.

Start your hike at the Peralta Trailhead N33° 23.841' W111° 20.878' take the ~Bluff Springs 235~ Trail up Cardiac Hill till you reach the coordinates for the start of this hike. Then its up another hill, which is easier than the ones you climbed to reach this old trail junction.

More information about this infamous trail can be found ~here~. And my ~track~ uses the dotted line (almost) on the old style USGS maps. My TOPO is nice but it lacks some of the finer points of the route.

When you arrive at the coords for Photo 1 - Drop your pack take a break and explore the big rock, there is a huge sink in the rock.

Photo #2 is on Top of the cliff, notice the Turkey like scar on the rock face, to its right is the key to the chute that will take you to the top.

There is also another route which would be you egress route if you did the uphill section first. ~Peralta to Fremont Saddle~

In the middle of the trail there is a real cool place to ~visit~ and have lunch.
