Wat Koh Loi is worth a visit—if you happen to be on the east coast of the Kingdom of Thailand, with time to spare. It is situated on a small island, connected by a causeway, to the small city of Sri Racha ('C-racha'). The Wat is interesting in itself, being of some age and with a few features, but, as is not uncommon in Thailand, the Buddhist wat is associated with a recreational park. All in all, a pleasant spot to spend an hour or three.
On the north western entrance to the temple itself (which is on a small hill on the south side of the small island) is a small 'Chinese' (as they are so designated in Thailand) Temple, and at the approach to this small temple is a set of small bells. These are in the usual design for Thai Buddhist temple bells, but they are smaller than the norm. No idea why. As is customary practice, visitors to the temple can ring the bells, for good luck, though a small donation is appreciated.
