Looking out over Lawrence Avenue, this peace pole caught my eye one day years ago. It is adjacent to a school parking lot. The closest flagstone is painted with a peace symbol and the years 2008 and 2009, plus the name of "Mr. Bartel." At the other end of the path is an entranceway with a plaque commemorating the "Alex Godines Memorial Park."
