The Village of Royal Palm Beach, incorporated in 1959, is governed by a Mayor and a Village Council and provides municipal services to 34,140 residents. The Village is located in the central part of Palm Beach County which is in the Southeastern part of the State. The Village encompasses 11 square miles and is 15 miles west of the Atlantic Ocean.
Currently Royal Palm Beach has set a high standard of 10 acres of parkland per 1,000 residents.
Royal Palm Beach has been named Tree City USA by the National Arbor Day Foundation since 1990 and the entire area within the village limits is designated as a bird sanctuary.
