This plaque was placed on this bridge as a result of the replacement of the bridge deck across the Athabasca River that occurred in 1969 near Hinton, Alberta

Althought the bridge deck was replaced in 1969 - bridge 70580 - the original truss bridge was constructed in 1913 as evidenced by the stamp imbedded in the concrete.

It would seem, in 2007, that Albeta Transporation was looking to do something with this bridge:
