The plaque in the garden reads: ""This rose garden honors legacy of Steve Wiezbowski and was a possible generosity of Steve's family, friends and colleagues. We remember Steve serve as president of pier restaurant inc for 25 years and who in the last 5 years of his life became an active member of the Fisherman's Wharf community services district. Steve later was elected president of the seas CBD's board of directors where he worked tirelessly to build consensus among the diverse members of the organization in an effort to revitalize Fisherman's Wharf. We thank him for his service and dedication.""
