Nice clean rest area located in northern Wisconsin just inside the Michigan border.
Opened in 1992 this rest area is unique in that it has historical displays featured inside. There is a mining display featuring rock and mineral displays and a fully clothed miner. Restrooms, changing table, benches, vending machines and a travel center are also located in the rest area.
A Wisconsin historical marker on mining is located on the grounds as is a huge concrete sundial, lots of waymark categories here.
The rest area opened in 1992 and is nicely maintained.
