Teixeira de Pascoaes is literary pseudonym of Joaquim Teixeira Pereira de Vasconcelos (Amarante, November 8, 1877 - Gatão, 14 December 1952) was a Portuguese poet and writer, principal representative of nostalgia (Saudosismo).

With Antonio Sergio and Raul Proenca was a leader of the movement called the "Portuguese Renaissance" and launched in 1910 in Oporto, Coimbra and alongside Leonardo Jaime Courtier, The Eagle magazine, the leading organ of the movement.

This statue is located in the beautifull Parque dos Poetas in Oeiras.
In line with the others Poets statues in the park, it´s made of Marble.
Along the path that runs trought the statues zone there´s some stone plaques engraved in the floor with a quote from each of them.
In each "island", there´s the name of the Poet represented.
