Bridge is dedicated to Miss Angele M. Langles for a $650.00 gift to the park in the early 1900's. From the official City Park website, here, a historical note states Angele and her mother were lost on the morning of July 4, 1898 when the French steamer
La Bourgogne, sunk after colliding with a British ship in the North Atlantic.
