The mosaic is attached to railings along the edge of the River Thames close west of Waterloo Bridge. It measure about 3 x 2 feet and is composed of pieces of ceramic tile. The outer edge has a checker type pattern and within its edge is some tiling set to look like rope. The centre is predominantly white ceramic with "South Bank Book Market" set in black. In the lower left and right corners are two people reading boos and between that, in yellow, is the name of the creators "www.southbankmosaics.com". Sadly, some of the chequer edging is missin on the left edge and along the bottom.

The book market is to the east of the mosaic under Waterloo Bridge.
