The War Memorial sits on beside and above Highway 11 as it enters Beattyville from the north - just before the railroad crossing. A walk leads to the hill above where there is a park and monument with four columns listing the names of the deceased veterans from each war.

Description of Memorial: The memorial consists of four granite columns engraved with the names of Lee County service members who lost their lives during war. The four columns sit on a granite slab. The columns and slab are flanked by flagpoles. The memorial sits atop a hill from which most of downtown Beattyville can be seen.
