Statue of Neptune in the middle of a Fountain in Larfo D Estefânia in the center of Lisbon.
Neptune is the Roman god of the sea and was inspired in the Greek god Poseidon.
This statue is placed inside a fountain in the Largo de Dona Estefânia. It was previously placed in the nearby square "Praça do Chile" but was originally from the Loreto Fountain, a fountain that existed in Chiado area in Lisbon from 1771 to 1853.
Today, in Largo do Chiado there´s a statue to the Poet António Ribeiro "Chiado".
