South Hadley celebrated the 250th anniversary of its founding by constructing a gazebo, designed by Edmond Brousseau, on the Town Common. Three steps in the front and a handicapped accessible ramp on the side lead up to a structure with a circular roof flanked by two building wings. The wooden gazebo has an octagonal granite tablet embedded in the floor. The tablet is inscribed.
