The Garden of Angels was formed when three mothers created a support group for parents who suffered the loss of a child. The Town of Agawam appoved the construction of a special place where people can reflect on how the departed touched their hearts. A quiet corner of the new School Street Park was chosen for the Garden of Angels. Granite pavers, in rememberance of the children, support the maintenance and improvement of the site. A statue of two children standing back to back was first added which was followed by an inspirational plaque.
