Attractions here include a garden, summer and winter skating rinks, many tennis courts, chess tables, and an activities building. The park was dedicated in 1979 to honor the American Bicentennial. It has not evolved much since. The park and the parking garage underneath will undergo extensive renovations starting in late 2012.
