Great Falls are located on the Caney Fork River below the 1925 dam that created Great Falls Lake. Coords were taken at the viewing platform at the end of the Great Falls Cotton Mill (WMCXPM) because access to the falls would be difficult, if not dangerous. Dangerous because the falls are in a steep-sided river gorge down stream from a dam whose flood gates could be opened at any time.
